SNOW!

We had some excitement at our house today...it snowed! We never have snow! Tanner was so excited when he walked out the door to go to church and snow was falling. I took a few pictures to share with you all. This was after it stopped snowing....this is the most snow we have had in 2 years at our house :)

Lack of Posting...

I am sorry that I haven't been posting or commenting this past week. The boys are finally better and now I have it. By the end of the week I was getting a little frustrated with the situation of having both kids sick. I think that is why I got it....to show me what they were going through :)

Our boring life...

We have had quite a boring few weeks at our house. I really have not had anything to blog about as you can all tell. I was getting tired of looking at my blog and the lack of pictures so I will share a few with you. They aren't much but at least it is something :)

Gavin got his first pair of shoes last week. He is our shoe hater! He hates wearing them but with him starting to walk I knew that he needed something. This is Daddy and Gavin ready for church last Sunday. (And yes, that is Curious George in the background with a diaper on)
We couldn't have a picture of Gavin and not include Tanner in his new church shirt. He insisted on a picture..he is such a sweet boy!

This week we have been dealing with Tanner being sick. He spent the early hours of Tuesday morning in the ER because he couldn't breath. Now we have Gavin sick also. I took him to the ER where we found out that he has Croup. He is hard to deal with when he is sick. He was up all night last night because he was stuffy and he has a fever that keeps coming back. However, as you can tell from the pictures...nothing could stop my boys from smiling...even being sick!Tanner has had such a yucky nose that his upper lip is really chapped now. You can tell in the picture.
I love this picture of Gavin! He LOVES the bathtub. We put him in there because his fever was getting really high. You sure can't tell by the pictures that my kids are sick :)

Craziness!

I went to the doctor yesterday for an ultrasound on baby Zachs heart because he wasn't cooperating the last time. He is looking good but he is measuring over 2 lbs already. Before I left they wanted to check me out. I gained 4 lbs in a week and they were worried about my sugar levels. I had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant with Gavin and I am scheduled to get tested for it with this baby in 2 weeks. I thought maybe the gestational diabetes was showing up early, which can happen as you get older. They took blood and got it tested and I just got the news that I have Type 2 Diabetes! They now have to watch me extremely carefully and I will have to have an ultrasound every week until Zachary arrives. We also know that because of the diabetes he may be coming earlier, depending on how much weight he gains. There is also a huge chance that he will end up with Type 1 (juvenile) diabetes. Welcome to my crazy life!

To sew or not to sew...that is the question

I have had 2 winter babies, both born in the winter, both blessed in the winter. Both boys had very cute blessing outfits, Tanner's was a knitted sweat suit that my mother-in-law made, and Gavin's was also knitted...however I found it at Babiesrus :)


I am having an extremely hard time finding a blessing outfit I like for this baby. I am very picky when it comes to store bought blessing outfits for boys. Some are a little to girly for me, some are way to shiny (I told you that I was picky) and the rest just don't fit my taste. It is also harder for me because we will be blessing him in June, so I need a light airy outfit.
If I had my way this babies blessing outfit would be vintage romper looking in linen. Here is a picture I found that is exactly what I want but it isn't linen.

I am seriously thinking about making it. I think I could do it with a little help from some friends in my ward. All I need now is the pattern. Oh, but guess what? I can't find one! OK, I know that all I am doing is whining, but after 2 weeks on bedrest and who knows how much longer to go...that's all I can think of to do :)
Any ideas?

I'm baaaack!!

I am so happy that my computer is back up and running before they said it would. Being on bed rest without access to the world is horrible!! As soon as I think of something good to write about, I will post again. Love you all!

Bad Computer!

So we have been without a computer for the past week. We will have it up and running again on Monday. I am unable to get on facebook because I am at the library. Sorry to all who have been writing to me and I have not responded. I will talk to you all soon!
