Baby Update

I thought I would just keep you all up to date on baby boy. I still have 3 weeks until my c-section and my appointments are now weekly. I went today for my 32 week checkup and my blood pressure is on the rise again. I have to take it easy and only do things that I feel are mandatory..like being a mom :)
When I had gestational diabetes with Gavin they did an ultrasound every week after 30 weeks until he measured 5-6 lbs and then they took him out. With this one because we have scheduled the surgery early already they are not going to do ultrasounds. I am happy about that because my doctor doesn't do them the same day as your weekly appointment. I had to go twice a week for 5 weeks with Gavin. Horrible!
So, I will update again next Wednesday and keep you all filled in until he gets here. Hopefully the next 3 weeks with fly by!

Brothers

I am amazed every day that I have been chosen to be the mom of these sweet little boys. I love being a mom and it blesses my life immensely. I am so excited to have this little baby join our family in a few weeks. I took a few pictures of the boys the other day when they were ready for church and when I put them on the computer today I thought, "I cannot believe these little boys are going to be big brothers!" What a wonderful world!

Tanner's Special Valentine....Uncle Pete!

Tanner wants to share with you his favorite valentine. He is so in love with his Uncle "Pete" that he thinks he will get to marry him when he gets older. Uncle Pete is actually Uncle Carson but for some odd reason that nobody knows Tanner calls him Pete. Here is what Tanner loves about Uncle Pete:

Mom:"Tanner, what is your favorite thing about Uncle Pete?"
Tanner: "He is very funny and I just love him mom."
Mom:"Why is Uncle Pete so special to you?"
Tanner:"Well mom, Uncle Pete has red hair and he likes animals. One day I hope that I have red hair and like animals. Uncle Pete is my hero!"

As you can tell, in the 2 times that Tanner has actually been with Uncle Pete in person he made a big impact on our little man.
Thanks Uncle Pete for being so wonderful and for not caring that Tanner calls you..
"Pete, the cowboy man"

Humbled

Have you ever been so stressed out that you just want to quit? I know that most of you have. I feel like since Christmas trials have been thrown at me left and right. There has been so much going on, so much sickness, stress, craziness, that I just wanted to give up. When Tanner and Gavin both started getting sick again yesterday I just thought to myself, "I am done, I cannot do this anymore. Why does Heavenly Father have so much faith in me?" Then as I was laying in bed last night an image came to my mind. I don't know how many of you have ever seen the movie Facing the Giants but if you haven't I highly recommend it. Michael happened to be flipping through channels one Sunday morning early last year and he saw this movie was coming on. We were getting ready for church so he decided to record it on the DVR. This is the part of the movie that came to my mind last night when I just wanted to give up.

I was humbled when I got online this morning and refreshed my memory of the great object lesson this is. My Father in Heaven does not ask that much of me. All he asks is that I give him my best and my attitude for the past month has not been my best. There are others in the world who suffer greater trials than I ever have. I guess I just needed a little reminder.

Oh the pain!!!

I am usually not one that is very bothered by pain. It takes a lot for me to take Tylenol or something stronger. It might sound odd, but I am not even bothered by my c-sections.
Well, last night I had to go to the ER and get something for the pain in my face. I have never had a toothache and I had no idea how bad the pain can get. It got so bad last night that I couldn't even wait to get to the dentist today. The doctor at the hospital told me that I have an absess in one of my wisdom teeth. Holy moly! I would not wish this on anyone!! He gave me a lovely prescription which is making me feel great :) and also an antibiotic. Maybe now I can actually get up and get something done.
