Tanner Tales..

Having a 3 year old is a riot! The things that come out of his mouth are worth recording. For the past few days, every time I ask or tell him to do something, this is his response: "ok mother, if you say so." What?!?! Where did that come from? Though it is really cute, it is beginning to get very old. Also, earlier today he brought me a picture he had colored. This was the conversation we had: "Mommy, I need to hang this on my door." "Why do you need to hang it on your door?" "Because I am an artist, this is my masterpiece, and I want an art exhibit." HAHAHAHAHA I laughed so hard. Where does he come up with these things? I didn't even know that he knew what a masterpiece or an art exhibit was. You've got to love 'em.

Fire Chief Stone

For Family Home Evening on Monday night we learned about safety and then for our activity we made cookies. Because Tanner is obsessed with firefighters, we decided that we would take the cookies to the "fire house" as Tanner calls it, and give them to the firefighters. They were so cute with him, he got a hat and a badge and he got to sit in all the fire trucks. He almost fell out of one when the firefighter told him to blow the horn. It was extremely loud! He was so happy.
Just look at Tanner's face if you want to know how excited he was to be with real firefighters.

If you would like to steal the idea for FHE please feel free. We didn't even have to make an appointment and they were very friendly and appreciative to have a treat.

Family fun at Gattitown

There is a place in Greenville that is the same idea as Chuck E. Cheese but 10 times better. It is called GattiTown. The games are more arcade like and they are off in a separate room from the eating area so that the kids will eat without getting distracted. It is also great that Tanner will eat the pizza and pasta that they have there.
Tanner loved riding the horses. He tried this about 5 times.
Our little music man did a fantastic job making beautiful music. He wants a drum set...he may have to wait until he is old enough to pay for it with his own money.
As for skeetball....he wasn't very good. He could never get the ball over the hill at the top, it kept rolling back to him. He was getting very frustrated.
Tanner could have stayed on this forever..."I am going to be a firefighter some day"

Very clever!

I am not sure why I have not viewed this until now when it appears that everyone I know has seen it numerous times, but I love it and so does Tanner. If you wish to watch, please pause my music on the side bar so that you can hear.

7 months and counting...

Our little bugger is 7 months old! He went for his checkup and weighs 17 lbs. 10 0zs.
He is 27 and a half inches long and is doing great. He has his 2 front teeth on the bottom which makes for a very cute smile and he is sitting up and trying to crawl.

This was the day after he was born. I cannot believe how fast time flies. Can you believe he barely weighed 6 lbs. in this picture? We have a little chunker chunk on our hands. We love him so much!!

Sink or swim....he's gonna give it a whirl

This is the new little swimmer at out house. Tanner started swimming lessons yesterday and caught on very quickly

As for this little swimmer...he is content just lounging in the bathtub.
