What a Difference 9 Months Make!

It also helps when there are amazing teachers and wonderful friends to guide you.
Tanner "graduated" from 4K yesterday and it was bittersweet. He has grown and changed so much this school year and we are definitely going to miss the people who made that happen.
This is the first day of school and last day of school:

Tanner's class had a program and awards ceremony yesterday and the kids were so excited to perform for their families. This is his class singing Tony Chestnut..the funniest song ever!!

Tanner has made some great friends this year...

His teachers are two women who deserve so much thanks and praise!! His speech teacher has also contributed tremendously to the change in our little man. Thank goodness for those dedicated to teaching our children!

Mrs. Bratton & Mrs. Brock:
Tanner, we are very proud of you for recieving the "Best Reader" award and for your sweet attitude about life. You are a gem! Next year, on to bigger and better things...KINDERGARTEN!

Riverdance!

I had the wonderful opportunity to go see Riverdance last weekend with a great friend. Oh my, it was fantastic!! Here is a clip of the finale..not the whole thing mind you. And believe me, it is a million times better in person. (You will have to pause my music to view it :)

"T-ball Rocks, Mom!!"

First of all, I cannot believe that Tanner only has 4 more days of school. He has grown up so much in the last 9 months and we are going to miss his school, but more on that next week :)

Tanner has been going to t-ball camp and he loves it. After 3 weeks of learning the ropes, they started playing games this week. It really melts a moms heart to see this:

They look so tiny sitting on that bench!! Tanner is the one on the far left. And I have to say that I did not believe my sister when she told me that watching t-ball is hilarious..well, she was right! Those little kids are adorable and they run in every other direction except for the right one. It is also cute to watch the team in the outfield when all the kids go running for the ball no matter where they are on the field...lol

This is Tanner heading for the outfield:

And Tanner running after a ball...everyone else beat him too it and he was a little mad..lol:

We have had such a great time watching Tanner learn new things and find new interests!

Take Me Out to "some" Ballgames!

We have never been a baseball family. We do not follow the sport, we don't watch games on TV, and until recently we were leading Tanner in the direction of any sport except baseball. lol
Well, our little man has taken us by surprise and fallen in love with T-ball. Hitting that ball off the T is a thrill for him.

This past week we had the opportunity to go to a softball game and cheer on "Grandpa Tom" and his team. Brother Quake is in our ward and Tanner has fallen in love with both him and his wife, in fact, all three boys have. They are now known as Grandpa Tom and Grandma Jeanine. They are so sweet and kind and we just love them!

Tanner and Grandpa Tom after the game:

The boys finding their belly buttons while the other team was batting..lol:

Later that week I took Tanner and one of his friends Samuel to a Greenville Drive game. Those boys had such a great time!

A few pics of the silly boys:

We really enjoyed ourselves and who knows, maybe we will catch a few more ball games this Summer!

Not So Sweet & Innocent!

OK, so that sweet little boy is becoming a 2 year old in every sense of the idea. He does things just to get under your skin...lol..but oh we sure do love him!
His new thing is to strip down at night and "weedle" all over his bed. He thinks it's a riot! Then, he cries and cries until I go in and see what's wrong. It is exhausting!!! I have washed sheets, blankets, and pillows every day this week and I am pretty sure I will have more to wash tonight.
Another of his new pasttimes is throwing spoons down the heat vent. AGH!! What is with that?!?!? I hate unscrewing the vents every day to get silverware out.
He is the grand master of mommy testing. He knows that it will get my attention and once it does, he looks surprised that I am upset with him and not laughing at his antics.
The biggest problem is that he is just so darn cute! That giant smile would melt anyone's heart..lol
Oh Gavin, we love you! In 10 years when you read this, remember, no "weedling" in your bed!!

A Few Good Adventures!

I am not sure why is it surprising to me how busy my life is. I do have three children, a grandmother, and a husband to take care of. I am a full-time student and busy with two big callings at church. However, my life is wonderful and I enjoy every minute of it.
Here are a few of the happenings at our house the past few weeks:

We took care of a friend from church for a week while he was on spring break and his dad was working. Tanner and Evan had a great time playing together and got along fantastically! They especially loved playing in the water fountain downtown!

Tanner has also been attending soccer camp the past 5 weeks (Aunt Heather would be proud!) and truly enjoying himself. He now starts T-ball camp tomorrow and cannot wait :)

Also, I have found myself crafting quite a bit this last week. Mostly stuff for Primary but I found the time to make something for my house. I am not quite finished with it yet but take a look at my project:
This is the before....a cupboard door I found at a second hand store for $2:

And the project as of tonight...I still have to add the hooks and the tags, but you get the idea:

Busy Little Bees!

My goodness, I cannot believe how crazy things have been at our house! Being busy without having a thing to post about is nuts..lol
In the past few weeks we have been spring cleaning, watching Tanner play soccer, attending baptisms, feeding the missionaries, and preparing for Grandma Keele and cousin Paige to come visit us. Now that everything has calmed down a bit I can actually post.
We had a great visit with my mom and Paige. We took them to Great Wolf Lodge for a few days, the Zoo, the Mall, the Childrens Museum, and we laughed alot...

We also had our family pictures retaken last week. I really like them. We had alot taken so here are a few of my favorite:
